The inaugural cohort is the first group to sit the CLLP examination. Founding candidates are recorded as the founding class of CLLP holders and receive founding cohort pricing on the examination fee.

WHO CAN SIT
If you are responsible for these patients, you are eligible.
A candidate qualifies with three years of leadership experience carrying supervisory responsibility for a population of chronically critically ill patients, in any setting where that population is cared for and in any function of the hospital. No specific degree is required.

- The dates and titles of the roles you are claiming, and the organizations where you held them
- The name, title, and contact information of one supervisor or professional colleague who can verify that experience
- Nothing else. There are no transcripts, no letters of recommendation, and no references required beyond your verifier.
How your application is handled
- You attest to the experience you hold. The Institute does not contact your employer as a matter of course.
- A percentage of applications is audited each year. If yours is selected, your verifier is contacted directly.
- If additional documentation is requested, you have 30 days to provide it and your application is held open.
- If you do not meet the experience requirement, your application fee is refunded in full and you are told what would qualify you.
Application fees are fully refundable until the point of examination scheduling.
